Directions to Lakeside's River Park Trail

Trailhead iconThere are two trailheads for this trail.  The eastern (Channel Road) trailhead is more used and is recommended, especially for bicyclists and equestrians, as parts of the north end of the trail are quite narrow.  For a fuller description of the trail, please see the Trail information page.

Please note: There is a Lakeside River Park sign and monument on Channel Road.  This marks the eventual start of the trail, but it is not the current trailhead.  The east trailhead is about 20 yards beyond (south of) the monument.

Parking: Currently there is no parking available at either trailhead, other than one handicap space at Channel Rd.  If parking is necessary, it is recommended that visitors park on side streets such as Rio Camino or Vista Camino off Riverside Dr. Visitors should never park at the River Run East industrial park.  Please be sure to secure all of your personal property.

For specific directions to one of the trailheads from your location, click on the trailhead icon and choose "Directions."  Or see the general directions below.

General directions: From State Route 67, exit Riverford Road.  Proceed north on Riverford to the first light, Riverside Drive, and turn right.  The north trailhead is on your right, just past the River View East Industrial Park.  Or you may continue on Riverford until it curves right and becomes Lakeside Ave. When Lakeside Ave turns left, continue straight onto Channel Rd.   The east trailhead is just after Lakeside Ave. turns left and is on your right, beyond the Lakeside River Park monument.
